This Site Exists for One Reason
When a first responder reaches the scene of a car crash, they evaluate the ABCs for each person: Airway, Breathing, Circulation. Before anything else, they make sure the person can breathe and the heart is pumping — because without those, nothing else matters. Today, America’s body politic is in critical condition. Its vital signs — trust, truth, and accountability — are failing. Not every threat is fatal. But some — attacks on democracy, the climate, and free expression — will end a free society if we don’t act. This site is your field guide to emergency intervention.
We shine a spotlight on those actively dismantling truth, democracy, and dignity in the United States (we call them Charlatans) — and point out those issues that are just noise and distractions (we call them Idiots). This site aims to help you see clearly, act confidently, and fight back strategically.
But here’s the thing: with so much chaos, corruption, and cowardice in plain sight, why aren’t more people in the streets? Why aren’t leaders speaking out? Why the silence? We know millions feel the same frustration — but too many feel isolated, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to begin. And even worse, many people feel that if they speak out, they’ll be targeted by the administration or its ardent followers.
This is precisely why Idiots & Charlatans exists: to cut through the fog, expose what’s urgent, and remind you that you’re not crazy — and you’re not alone. This is a place to find clarity, community, and concrete ways to push back.

This site is for people who’ve spent a lifetime helping build a more open, equal, and thoughtful America — and who now see it at risk. It’s for anyone who believes that fighting for what matters means knowing what to fight, and when.

Meet the Publisher
Idiots & Charlatans is run by a longtime observer of U.S. politics, media distortion, and civic backsliding, who’s also a participant in the evolution of the American democratic ideal. With a background in journalism and education—and a deep belief in democratic values.
This is a passion project born of frustration: with failed leadership, with the erosion of truth and dignity, and with the ease by which we let distractions cloud what truly matters. The site exists to help citizens cut through the noise and focus on the changes that are hardest to reverse — and most critical to confront.
I’m not chasing fame or followers. I’m chasing clarity, accountability, and momentum. We owe it to the people who came before us — and to those who come next — to fight for a country, and a planet, worthy of their future.
